Dick "Lefty" O'Neal dreamt of playing Major League baseball from the age of five.  He never made it to "the top" but he did have an amazing journey full of unexpected twists and turns as he followed his dream.  He holds the distinction of being the only white baseball player to pitch for two teams in the Negro Leagues that flourished throughout the twentienth century.
